Early Life and Education 

Gia Chacón grew up in a devoted Christian home in Laguna Niguel, Orange County, California.
Her family’s teachings served as the foundation for her deeply religious upbringing.

Gia, who was one of six children, had an excellent support system that emphasized the value of having a close relationship with Jesus.

She struggled personally as a teenager because she had to strike a balance between her faith and material goals. But in the end, this stage influenced her dedication to religious advocacy and humanitarian work.

Gia Chacón comes from a religious and faith-driven family. Gia’s path into ministry and charitable work was greatly influenced by her grandmother, Pastor Dr. Michelle Corral, a well-known a missionary and humanitarian.
Rev. Mannual Corral, her grandfather, died in December 2024 and was also a revered religious leader.

Gia’s mother, Rosie Chacón, taught strong Christian values to her children from an early age. She has five siblings 4 Sister and one Brother, including her sisters Siena and Sophia Chacón, who have also been part of her faith journey.

Humanitarian Work

In 2017 Gia and her grandma Dr. Michelle Corral, traveled to Egypt for humanitarian purposes. Because she saw the suffering and persecution of Christians this experience had a profound impact on her.

Their devotion inspired Gia to dedicate her life to supporting persecuted Christians. She began working in Central America, East Africa, and the Middle East with refugees and victims of religious violence.

For the Martyrs

Gia founded For the Martyrs a nonprofit that supports suffering Christians and raises awareness of Christian persecution in December 2019 after being moved by her own experiences.

In 2020, she coordinated the March for the Martyrs the first major event for persecuted Christians in the United States. This yearly event which is growing in popularity, brings attention to their struggles around the world.

Advocacy and Public Speaking

Gia is a well-known author and speaker in addition to her work with charities.  She has discussed religious freedom and Christian persecution in news articles and radio and television interviews.
She engages with a large following on social media, particularly on Instagram by @genuinelygia, in an effort to inspire action and increase awareness.

Personal Life

Gia Chacón has kept her personal and romantic life private, with no public records of a husband or boyfriend. However, in an appearance on Dating Talk #83 at the Whatever Podcast about a year ago, she shared that she was in a serious relationship for seven months at that time. She also mentioned that her longest relationship prior to that lasted two and a half years.

She has spoken about the importance of shared faith in relationships, saying that strong Christian values should be the foundation of marriage. She advises against entering a relationship hoping to change a partner’s beliefs, stressing the need for spiritual compatibility
